According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, uring the day of 26th October, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled attacks of the russian invaders in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), and Bakhmut, Ivanhrad, Soledar, Mayorsk, Krasnohorivka, and Mar’inka (Donetsk oblast).
As of October 26, 2022, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 430 children have died and more than 822 children have been injured. Due to the active hostilities in affected regions, there is no possibility to inspect the areas of shelling and destruction.
11 civilians were killed in Ukraine over the past day, October 25, and 14 more were injured. This was announced by the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, based on the data of the regional military administrations.
About a thousand bodies of the dead were exhumed in the de-occupied territories. This is reported by the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 154 athletes and coaches have died, 22 were destroyed and 113 sports facilities were damaged, the Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Gutzait said.
The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy has verified more than 550 damaged objects of cultural heritage to date. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy, Kateryna Chuieva.
The Russian occupation troops actions:
The enemy keeps shelling Ukrainian positions all along the line of contact, reinforces defensive lines and positions on certain directions, including on the left bank of the Dnipro River, and conducts aerial reconnaissance.
The occupant forces attack civilian infrastructure and residences, thus violate the rules of International Humanitarian Law, and the laws and principles of war.
During the day of 26th October, the adversary launched 18x air and 4x missile strikes, and conducted 56x MLRS attacks. The cities of Kup’yans’k, Druzhkivka, and Zaporizhzhia were hit by enemy attacks.
Recently mobilized russian military [mobilized 1 week ago] continue to arrive to the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Newly arriving troops demonstrate low morale and motivation, and unwillingness to participate in combats in Ukraine, frequent desertions are reported too.
The enemy continues to replenish its casualties. According to the information available, representatives of private military companies are recruiting prisoners in correctional facilities in the city of Ulyanovsk (russia). Most recruits from the above category who agree to fight in Ukraine are convicted of murder, rape, and sale of narcotics.
The adversary continues to suffer losses. Damage to 1x concentration of weapons and military equipment, ammunition depots of the enemy inflicted on 25th October in the vicinity of settlement of Beryslav (Kherson oblast) was confirmed. The number of personnel losses are being finalised.
The Ukrainian military actions:
During the day of 26th October, Ukrainian Air Force launched 5x air strikes. 1x concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 3x strong points, and 1x anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy were confirmed hits. During the day of 26th October, Ukrainian air defence units shot down 1x Ka-52 helicopter, 1x Kh-59 missile, and 17x combat UAVs of the enemy.
During the day of 26th October, Ukrainian missile and artillery troops engaged 4x command posts, 8x concentrations of troops, weapons, and military equipment, 3x ammunition depots, and 6x other important military targets of the enemy.
