According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the adversary doesn’t cease its attempts to hold the temporarily captured territories and deter operations of the Ukrainian Defence Forces on certain axes. Yet, the enemy keeps shelling Ukrainian positions all along the line of contact, reinforces defensive lines and positions on certain directions, and conducts aerial reconnaissance. The occupant forces attack civilian infrastructure and residences, thus violate the rules of International Humanitarian Law, and the laws and principles of war.
During the day of October 25th, 2022 the enemy launched 3x missile and 11x air strikes, and conducted more than 25x MLRS attacks.
25x Ukrainian settlements were targeted by the enemy, including: Nikopol (Dniepropetrovsk oblast); Bakhmuts’ke and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast); and Nova Kamianka (Kherson oblast).
As of October 25, 2022, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 430 children have died and more than 820 children have been injured. Due to the active hostilities in affected regions, there is no possibility to inspect the areas of shelling and destruction.
In Ukraine, 8 civilians were killed in the past day, October 24, and 14 more were wounded. This was announced by the deputy head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko based on the data of the regional military administrations.
According to the estimates of the Ministry of Energy, in general, the Russian occupiers damaged up to 40% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Some energy facilities were fired at by missiles, and then by kamikaze drones.
During the eighth month of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the Institute of Mass Information recorded kidnappings, shootings of journalists and the destruction of TV towers. As of October 24, the Russian military killed a total of 42 journalists in Ukraine. Of them, eight journalists were killed while performing their professional duties (three Ukrainian and five foreign).
Actions of the Russian occupation troops:
The russian occupying forces continue forced mobilization measures to replenish current losses. In the temporarily occupied town of Khrustalnyi, Luhansk oblast, “mobile groups” detain and transport all men to the military commissariat [recruiting centers]. According to the available information, another batch of prisoners came from russia to Stanytsia Luhanska to reconstitute depleted detachments of private military companies. Local so-called “law enforcement officers” are forbidden to intervene in case of violations by the arriving mercenaries.
Another group of russian military has arrived to Vovkivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast) to reinforce occupation forces. The newly arrived personnel is roaming the streets of Vovkivka looking for food and an opportunity to wash.
Actions of the Ukrainian military:
During the current day, Ukrainian Air Force conducted 15x air strikes. 12x concentrations of enemy weapons and military equipment, 2x strong points, and 1x anti-aircraft missile system are confirmed hits. Ukrainian Air Defence units shot down 1x UAV.
Ukrainian missile and artillery troops engaged 1x command post, 8x concentrations of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment, 1x ammunition depot and other important military objects of the russian occupation troops.
