As of October 12, 2022, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 422 children have died and more than 805 children have been injured. Due to the active hostilities in affected regions, there is no possibility to inspect the areas of shelling and destruction.
The number of people who died as a result of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine on October 10 increased to 20. A total of 108 people were injured. This is reported by the State Emergency Service. 301 settlements in Kyiv, Lviv, Sumy, Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi regions are still without electricity. 205 ob-jects were damaged by missile strikes, including 30 multi-story buildings and 45 private ones.
According to the information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during October 11, the occupiers again launched a massive missile strike, used almost thirty cruise missiles in Ukraine, launched seven air strikes and carried out about twenty-five attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.
Thirty-two air targets were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense units in different directions. These are 21 cruise missiles and 11 unmanned aerial vehicles.
As a result of a massive missile attack, the infrastructure of more than ten settlements in Lviv, Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions was damaged. During the night, the enemy deployed eight Iranian strike UAVs in an attempt to damage critical infrastructure facilities in the Mykolaiv region. All drones were destroyed by the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy kept shelling civilian and military infrastructure on other axes too, namely:
Siverschyna axis: Senkovka, Timonovichi and Yanzhulovka of the Chernihiv region. Seredina-Buda, Novovasilovka and Sorokino, Sumy region.
Slobozhanschyna axis: Sotnitsky Kazachok, Odnorobovka, Udy, Veterinary, Cossack Lopan, Strelka, Krasnoye, Ogurtsovo, Volchansky Farms, Staritsa, Two-year-old and Two-year-old;
Kramatorsk axis: Raygorodok, Novoegorovka, Grekovka, Makeevka, Novoe, Novolyubovka, Yampolevka, Torskoye, Disputable, Pervomayskoye, Kovalevka, Terny, Serebryanka, Belogorovka and Seversk;
Bakhmut axis: Vesele, Belogorovka, Yakovlevka, Soledar, Bakhmutskoye, Bakhmut, Odradovka, Poll, Mayorsk, New York, Kleschievka, Disputed and Yakovlevka;
Avdiivka axis: Berdichi, Avdeevka, Kamenka, Pervomayskoye, Vodyanoye, Nevelskoye, Krasnogorovka, Maryinka and Novomikhailovka;
On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhya axes: Uspenovka, Neskuchnoye, Poltavka, Vuhledar, Zheleznodorozhnoe, Malinovka, Volshebnoe and Belogorye.
Pivdennyi Buh axis: the enemy continues shelling the positions of our units to deter the counteroffensive along the entire line of confrontation. More than twenty settlements experienced fire influence. Among them are Davidov Brid, Novaya Kamenka, Blagodativka, Shirokoye, Shevchenkovo, Ljubomirovka, Ternovye Pody, Pravdino, Mirnoye and Aleksandrovka.
The current situation in the Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine:
Mobilization and transfer of reserves by the enemy do not allow to overcome the resistance of the Ukrainian military. At the same time, according to available information, at one of the training grounds of the Eastern military district, due to the low level of security, non-compliance with sanitary standards, inadequate nutrition and the lack of normal living conditions, more than a hundred mobilized refuse to follow any orders from the command and leave barracks.
Actions of the Ukrainian troops:
The defeat of the area of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the enemy in the Kherson region was confirmed. According to available information, up to a hundred Russian invaders and about thirty units of weapons and military equipment were destroyed.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, the Defense Forces hit an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, up to ten units of military equipment and about sixty servicemen of the Russian occupation forces.
Aviation of the Defense Forces during the past 24 hours delivered two strikes on the areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment of the enemy.
Rocket troops and artillery hit one command post, nine areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, five air defense systems and four ammunition depots.
Analysis of events by regions of Ukraine:
Kyiv and Region
The National Police of Kyiv reports that as a result of missile strike on October 10, 5 people died, and another 36 were injured of varying degrees of severity. The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko named the number of objects in the capital city damaged by Russian shelling on October 10: 45 residential buildings, 5 objects of critical infrastructure and housing and communal services, 6 educational institutions (3 schools, 1 kindergarten, 2 after-school education buildings), 2 social institutions, 6 cultural institutions, 5 healthcare institutions and 2 administrative buildings. The contact network of the city trolleybus was also damaged.
As a result of the massive missile attack on October 10, the business centers in Kyiv where the offices and R&D division of Samsung Ukraine and Microsoft are located were also damaged.
Donetsk and Luhansk Region
Yesterday, on October 10, the occupiers killed six civilians in the Donetsk re-gion, eight people were wounded. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.
During the day, the Russians carried out 22 strikes on the peaceful population of Donetsk region. 13 settlements were under the fire by the occupiers. The Russian army attacked Donetsk region with tube artillery, “Uragan” and “Grad” MLRSs, and tanks.
13 civilian objects were destroyed and damaged – 12 residential buildings and a hospital.
Employees of the Security Service discovered a place of illegal detention of people in liberated Sviatohirsk, Donetsk region. The torture chamber was set up in a rec-reation boarding house not far from the Sviatohirska Lavra. The Russian military forcibly detained local residents there who supported the territorial integrity of Ukraine. During the inspection, operatives and investigators of the SBU found objects that directly indicate signs of torture.
Mass burial sites were found in Sviatohirsk and Lyman. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
78 bodies have already been exhumed, some with obvious signs of violent death. The victims had gunshot wounds, fractured ribs and skulls, mine-explosive injuries. The youngest deceased was only a year old. The child is buried next to the whole family at the cemetery in Lyman.
Kharkiv and Region
Last day, the Russians attacked the settlements of four districts of the Kharkiv region. This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleh Synegubov.
According to him, 3 private houses were damaged in Kupiansk, there was a fire. The enemy purposefully fired S-300 missiles at the facilities of life support infrastructure. Due to damage to energy infrastructure facilities, most of Kharkiv and populated areas of the region were de-energized. According to the regional Center of Emergency Medical Assistance, a 52-year-old man was hospitalized with injuries in the Kharkiv district during the day.
In addition, units of the State Emergency Service neutralized 404 explosive objects during the day.
On October 10, law enforcement officers found a man’s body in a forest plantation in the Izium district. His head was completely wrapped in a cloth, and his hands were tied with a cord. According to preliminary investigation data, the man was killed and tortured by Russian soldiers during the occupation of the settlement. After that, they left the body of the murdered man in a plantation.
Lviv and Region
According to the head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, out of 15 missiles that attacked the Lviv Region on October 10, 8 hit power substations.
On October 11, as a result of another missile strike in the Lviv region, an energy facility was damaged. According to the mayor of Lviv, 4 power substations were actually destroyed by missile strikes in the region. 30% of Lviv remains without electricity. There are also water supply interruptions in some areas.
Also, according to preliminary data, as a result of the shelling, a 53-year-old man was injured, who is in a moderate condition.
Mykolaiv and Region
In the Mykolaiv region, Russian invaders once again attacked communities in the region last night – a woman was killed, residential buildings and an agricultural enterprise were damaged. This was announced by the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration Vitaliy Kim.
As of the morning of October 11, there are 553 wounded people in Mykolaiv hospitals who suffered from the invaders’ attacks on the region. Another 87 victims were treated on an outpatient basis the day before, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, Hanna Zamazeyeva, reported.
Sumy and Region
As a result of Russian shelling in the Sumy region, one person was killed and four others were injured. In addition, three people were injured during the emergency work. This was reported by the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Dmytro Zhyvytskyi.
It is also known that the Russians destroyed an infrastructure facility during a mis-sile attack around 10 am in the Konotop district. Emergency works are ongoing. Two employees of the enterprise and a rescuer from the emergency department were injured.
Zaporizhzhia and Region
Over the past day, Russian troops shelled 20 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. 29 reports were received about the destruction of civil infrastructure objects as a result of Russian shelling. This is reported by the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration. On October 11, 2022, at 6:00 a.m., the Russian occupying forces, using S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, repeatedly attacked Zaporizhzhia. 12 missiles hit different areas of the city. A person died. A car dealership, an educational institution and other infrastructure facilities were destroyed. Apartment buildings were damaged by the blast wave. In the center of Zaporizhzhia, the bodies of seven dead people were found under the rubble of a building that was hit by a missile on October 10. This was reported in the regional military administration. According to preliminary data, 5 more people may be under the rubble.
Vinnytsia and Region
The Ladyzhyn TPP, located in Vinnytsia region, was hit again by Russian terrorist forces. It happened at the moment when rescuers were working on the spot. There are victims. Currently, we know of 3 hospitalized persons.
As a result of the shelling, the company’s energy equipment was again damaged. 242 settlements remained without electricity. A mode of total electricity saving is being introduced in the region.
Dnipro and Region
At night, the enemy attacked 6 communities of Dnipro region with “Grad”, “Ura gan” MLRSs, tube artillery and “Tornado-S”. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Dnipro region. A fire broke out in the Cher-vonohryhorivka community – a farm building was on fire. 2 private houses were destroyed. Up to 10 apartments and 7 outbuildings, a car, a gas pipeline, and an electrical network were damaged. In Nikopol, shells hit a gas station, a shop and a bus. In the Zelenodolsk community, the gym of the local lyceum was vandalized. In Kryvyi Rih, after yesterday’s rocket attack, 4,000 families are still without electricity, as well as 350 families in Myrove community.
On October 11, the Russians hit energy infrastructure in the Pavlograd and Kami-anske districts with missiles. This was reported by the head of the Dnipro regional military administration Valentyn Reznichenko.
There is serious destruction. Many settlements remained without electricity. In the region, a mode of total electricity saving is being introduced so that hos-pitals, transport and other important social infrastructure can operate.
